I live in Sheffield and had tried to get a local clock mender. Westmorland glass came to my rescue. They picked my carriage clock up and returned it. Ben was fantastic. When he returned the my clock he showed me pictures and videos of what he had done and how dirty the internal parts were before he cleaned them. He also showed me the after cleaning photos. The french polish had some wear and instead of trying to get more money he told me it was not worth the cost. So honest. The WhatsApp messages were alway very polite and informative. Ben also fixed a broken foot and back catch. It has been ticking away on my mantelpiece for a few days now. The sound takes me back to my childhood when it was on my grandparents mantelpiece. I am so grateful for his hard word and expertise. I would highly recommend Ben and his company for any clock repairs you may have. Thank you Ben.

After being told that my carriage clock wasn't worth repairing I stumbled across Ben whilst looking for another clock. What a stroke of luck ! Had a long chat about the issues and took the clock to his workshop where he carried out a thorough assessment - price / timescale etc. The clock is now fully restored and sitting happily in the study.Excellent workmanship and offering an extremely professional service. Thank you so much for repairing the glass on my Sestrel marine barometer.  My father bought it in 1968 and it is of great sentimental value.  It suffered a knock and the glass cracked.  You turned it around in a very quick time and I'm very pleased with the result.  I've attached an image of the two together.
My father was a carpenter and joiner. He made the plinth they are mounted on.
